The elevator pitch about DPC+UP
We set up the agency to allow amazingly talented individuals to work the way they wanted to. Flexibility, and adapting to people’s different circumstances is key to creating the ultimate environment… We wanted to create an agency where people could choose to work from home or come into the studio, and where people enjoy a healthy work/life balance.
We only have a small number of regular employees, but we also have a large selection of “members”; talented individuals who want to run their own 1-person businesses but also want to be a part of a bigger team.
The heart of the business is building awesome websites and eCommerce stores, as well as running PPC (Google Adwords) campaigns and social media paid campaigns for our clients. We also have a very talented artworking team who make all the packaging for people like innocent and Bol foods.
As an agency we always follow our six core values:

We often like to spend Friday afternoons in the local pub, celebrating the week that just ended. It’s a lovely way to wind down from a tough week. If you need to get hold of us at 4.30 on a Friday you might not get much sense from the team.
Every summer we all go to Royal Ascot (horse racing) and enjoy Britain at its most traditional. It’s a great day to get all the “members” together and treat everyone to food, drink and a sing-song around the bandstand!
We set up the business so people could spend more time with their friends and families so maintaining a work-life balance is vital. We do work hard (between 9-5) but we don’t like to see people at their desks at 8PM. (They should be at home with their friends and family with a glass of wine in their hands).
