Girlguiding North West England has over 68,000 members in their Region, across 17 guiding Counties. They enable their members to discover and fulfil their potential through an exciting range of enjoyable activities and events, so they can make a positive contribution to their community and make a difference to the world.
They aim to support both their younger members and adult volunteers to go the extra mile, truly putting girls in the lead.
Girlguiding North West England is continually evolving to ensure they stay relevant to today’s girls.
They give girls and young women a voice in the modern world, providing fun and friendship along the way, whilst preserving the values of Girlguiding that have made it the largest organisation for girls and young women in the UK.
In line with the Girl Guides continuing evolvement they needed a new website and chose dpc to design and build it for them on the Umbraco CMS.
The site needed to blend a fresh modern design with the classic tone of the Girl Guides.
And just as importantly as an intuitive user experience for all the visitors to the site, the administration and CMS needed to be easy to use for the variety of administrators at Girl Guiding HQ with an easy-to-learn CMS for the team.
The dpc team took the existing Girl Guide brand and added a modern and usable UX design for the site.
We also developed an exclusive secure members area which will act as a secure extranet for their leaders across the region.
The site went live a very short while ago and the Girl Guide team are focussing on building up their new content for the site.
