Portsmouth Private Finance Initiative (PFI) maintains Portsmouth’s roads, footways, streetlights, structures and cleansing.
Colas Portsmouth operate the PFI contract for Portsmouth City Council, with a total value of £500m over 25 years, the contract started in 2005 and was the first of its kind.
Colas now have 15 years of experience developing their partnership with Portsmouth City Council and Ensign Highways. Together Colas work to engage with Portsmouth residents to reach their goals and provide the best for the city.
Colas and dpc.agency have been working together for a number of years, we launched the main Colas site a year ago, and the Colas Portsmouth site is the latest department/initiative to have a new online presence.
The new site was built on Umbraco and hosts a number of new features to make Portsmouth residents’ lives easier:
- Live roadwork details.
- Upcoming roadwork closures.
- Online application services for vehicle crossing applications, entrance marking applications, scaffolding permits, and overselling permits.
- Online service for residents to report an issue.
We had to integrate with a umber of 3rd party API’s and services and also ensure that the CMS was simple for the large workforce to use.
The main focus of the site is to help Colas keep Portsmouth an attractive, clean and sustainable city.
