We are on the lookout for an exceptional project manager and a front end developer.

Our new digital project manager will play an essential role our agency. This is a role to primarily assist our clients in the day-to-day running of projects, and managing our development and UX teams.

The exceptional individual will have an in-depth understanding of managing digital projects, and will have had a few years (or more) experience in managing multiple online/digital projects with multiple clients. They will be proficient in using modern project management tools. In addition the ideal candidate will be highly organised, an excellent communicator, but also have a broad (top level) experience of management of developers.

Knowledge of applying agile thinking and methods to traditional project delivery

Also, we are looking for a young, enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious front-end developer, who shares our passion for usability, technology, attention to detail and great code.

The ideal candidate will also have an eye for great UX too and understand how to bring great ideas to life online.

As a front-end developer you will be part of a small team working on small to large web builds, right through from planning, development and implementation. If you have some back-end skills as well then even better.

Required skills:

  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adore implementing new processes that make a real difference (we adore a process champion)
  • SLDC experience (Software Delivery Lifecycle)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple clients
  • Ability to gather client requirements and translate them into project deliverables
  • Familiar with a variety of Content Management Systems
  • Experience using workflow management tools e.g Jira, Asana, Trello for briefing developer/designer tasks
  • Excellent understanding of good UI and UX design

Nice-to-have:

  • Understanding of web technologies – whilst you’re not expected to be a coder, knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript would be hugely beneficial
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop
  • Understand web standards development
  • Experience of dealing with cross-browser compatibility requirements
  • Basic knowledge of DNS management and Server administration

Developer (Front-end)

Experienced web developer

The team at dpc need a front end web developer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery and AJAX).

DPC is a growing agency, and we have ambitious plans. An opportunity has now arisen for a front end developer to join our team to work across the online side of the business.

We are looking for a young, enthusiastic, creative, and ambitious front-end developer, who shares our passion for usability, technology, attention to detail and great code.

The ideal candidate will also have an eye for great UX too and understand how to bring great ideas to life online.

As a front-end developer you will be part of a small team working on small to large web builds, right through from planning, development and implementation. If you have some back-end skills as well then even better.

Working from our office in Guildford, (with some days working from home) you will be developing websites for both large multinational brands as well as medium sized businesses.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company, and gain invaluable experience with multiple platforms and tools such as Umbraco, Nopcommerce, WordPress, and Shopify.

This role is initially a fixed term contract with the view to becoming full time, depending on the applicant and experience.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent frontend skills using HTML5 and CSS3 and Javascript
  • Excellent understanding of creation of responsive layouts
  • Experience of JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS, Ajax and similar technologies
  • Understand web standards development
  • Understand front end performance techniques
  • Cross-browser and platform development experience with particular focus on responsive design
  • Ability to translate a static layout (wireframes, Photoshop mock-ups, Axure prototypes) into a working application
  • Experience of dealing with cross-browser compatibility requirements

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in back end development
  • MVC development
  • Experience of service/API integration with 3rd parties
  • .NET/Umbraco experience
  • WordPress development
  • Shopify Liquid code experience
  • DNS management
  • Good communication skills an advantage
